    All staples are "crown" staples. These are NARROW crown staples. Driven by a narrow crown stapler. Staples are made is wide range of crown sizes and wire gauges. The crown is the part of the staple that remains while the staple legs are driven into the substrate. This one drives 1/4 inch or 6mm crown staples made from 18ga wire. Staples compared to brads have much more holding power as they won't pull through the affixed piece nearly as easily. When driving them into wood, always try to orient the crown perpendicular to the grain of the wood for maximum pull through resistance.

    • @Maxkil
      @Maxkil 4 дні тому

      Good question mate, in Australia we use a stud adhesive along with screws, that's why you see half the screws in the middle of the sheets on ceilings. Unless it's used in specific fire rated applications or on walls that gets tiles

    Your flats need more mud. I always used a new knife to check ,proper fill the blade (on edge) slightly touches full span of flat(when dry it’s right on the money, and only requires 2 coats not 3 , the time spent 3rd coating would be better spent sitting in the Bar. ) if it doesn’t you can fine tune the setting on the box. If on your first coat with box set on 2 it is too much and 3 is hollow like yours fine tune your box . You can adjust an Ames box to 1000 of an inch.if there is no way to adjust your box….throw it in the trash

    Hey bud, I'm in qld and we flooded downstairs, all the gyprock has been ripped up to 1200mm from the floor. Pretty keen to make sure this never happens again. I've waterproofed the external perimeter and now I want to make sure it's bulletproof inside. How water resistant is this stuff? I'm an amateur and will be doing it myself AGAIN

    • @Maxkil
      @Maxkil 9 днів тому

      It's not very resistant to be honest. You want to get a product called rescom. It can get drowned in water and be perfectly fine. Coffee on same thickness as your existing walls for a good blend. Tell them Maxkil sent you

    Must be nice to save so much time since you use crown(cornice) in the inside corners. Almost nobody does that here in the US... even if someone is going to use it they expect flawless inside corners which they they still cover up lol.

    Why do you use nail on bead,Is it because the hangers install beads because the finishers don’t know how? Metal tape on is a superior product. With tape on you don’t waste time packing the bead before you coat
